Description
Her heart is on fire, but the world is cold and threatening. Her mind is set, but here face is trembling. She’s about to leave into the unknown. Maybe she’s ready, maybe not, but there will be no turning back. When she turns around everything she’s ever known will be lost.I’ve put lots of work, and lots of time into this one. I started it about one and a half year ago, and have been working on it from time to time since then. It’s one of those pieces that you wondered it you’ll ever finish, but now, finally, I did.

I hope I didn't offend you in any way, I just see a great pic with a few minor flaws, and it can get better

Having said that, I also think the tree's spatial presence is vague. The transition from fully-detailed, well-lit, very dimensional object to flat, blueish plane is somewhat abrupt and confusing. The thickness of the curved portion suggests that the tree may be coming back towards us, but the coloring/shading of it does not. I think maybe you just went a little overboard with the blue, lovely though it is.
As to the figure, there are some really strong parts (the eyes, for instance, are superb and awesomely intense). The hair's quite lovely, too, though you might soften the hairline a bit. However, I think some of the contours of the body are awkward, with a sort of abruptness or jaggedness to them (eh, how can I explain it?).
Yup, I feel I have to give plenty of crits to pieces about which I have plenty to love.

My max to this picture, great balance between painting and photorealism.
Also, the figure is well integrated in the background, and the skintones are amazing.
