I usually make my landscapes unrealistic and dreamlike, but in this rather quick painting I wanted to achieve a more realistic look.

A side note: The hill portrayed is the most important hill in my life, where I’ve spent many long days though my childhood.

Very nice! I'm not a huge fan of the overly rounded hill--it looks a little too unnatural. Wonderful warmth and nice composition. Love the clouds.
